Tiger Movie Review
Tiger (Sundeep Kishan) and Vishnu (Rahul Ravindran), two orphans, are close buddies. Tiger would go to any extent to rescue Vishnu from any problem. Vishnu and Ganga (Seerat Kapoor) fall in love. Difference prop up between Tiger and Vishnu because of this love track and it even leads to their separation. Then, Story moves to Kasi where Vishnu was seen battling for his life. Why Vishnu is in such situation and how did Tiger react to it forms the rest of the tale.
Sundeep Kishan tried for a mass image with 'Tiger' and he does a decent job. Rahul Ravindhran as a lover boy is good enough and just perfect for the soft guy role. Seerat Kapoor is just okay in the movie. Neither the Characterization nor her Performance is good in the movie. Her Romantic Track with Rahul could have been better.
Fish Venkat, Thagubothu Ramesh and Raghu Karumanchi generate few laughs. Rest of the cast is adequate.
- Emotional Quotient
- Short Run Time (120 Min)
- Seerat Kapoor
- Romantic Track
- Formulaic Plot
VI Anand, a protege of AR Murugadoss, wielded the megaphone for 'Tiger'. He has chosen a theme of 'Friendship' and added all the commercial ingredients required for his directorial debut.
Songs by SS Thaman are just okay but Background Score is very impressive. Cinematography by Chota K Naidu is flawless. Few Dialogues hit the right chord. Editing is crisp. Production Values are grand.
'Tiger' is a decent commercial entertainer and its biggest asset is a runtime of just 2 hours. Social Issue (Honour Killing) touched in the movie, Comedy on IT Employees, Chota's Camera Work, Thaman's Background Score and Emotional Content work in its favour.
Box Office: 'Tiger' obtained a massive 450-plus release Worldwide. The film managed career best openings for Sundeep Kishan but the end result depends a lot on the word-of-mouth.
Verdict: Average Entertainer!
