Pandaga Chesko Movie Review
Karthik (Hero Ram), a businessman in Portugal, happens to meet Anushka (Sonal Chauhan) who is taking care of family-owned business and they decide to marry for expanding their business empire. To settle an issue in his factory, Ram comes to Hyderabad and this is where he meets Divya (Rakul Preet Singh) who runs away from her house as she was fed up with marriage plans done by family members. How the lives of these three people change forever after this meeting forms the rest of the story.
Ram played the two roles with different shades to the best of his abilities. His look, costumes, dances and energy created more impact on the screen. Rakul Preet Singh's cute expressions and performance in emotional scenes are too good. Sonal Chauhan's character wasn't etched well but she impresses with her glamour.
Brahmanandam as Weekend Venkat Rao is hilarious in few scenes. Sampath & Sai Kumar does a good job. Rao Ramesh is fine. Abhimanyu Singh is okay. Jayaprakash Reddy, Vennela Kishore, Prabhas Seenu, 30 Years Prudvi, Shakalaka Shankar and Others did justice to their roles.
- Ram-Rakul's Chemistry
- SVSC Spoof
- Family Emotions
- Rehash of Old Films (Ready format)
- Runtime (162 Minutes)
Hero Ram who is going through a bad patch joined hands with a promising Director (Gopichand Malineni) and successful Writers (Kona Venkat-Gopi Mohan) to deliver a solid hit. Did the gamble pay off?
Songs composed by Thaman are decent and his Background Score is nice. Cinematography is good enough. Editing could have been better. Dialogues are partly entertaining. Production Values are adequate.
'Pandaga Chesko' gives a deja vu feeling throughout the coarse of the movie. What works against the film is the fact that neither the story nor the format chosen to narrate it is refreshing in any way. How long does this so-called Star Writers use the same old formula again and again? Wake up guys, It's never too late...!
Box Office: 'Pandaga Chesko' released in 750-plus screens Worldwide. The film mayn't get a break-even (Rs 16 crore) with an average word-of-mouth and Ram could end up delivering another flop in that case.
Verdict: Just Average!
