Drushyam Movie Review
Drishyam (Drushyam) Telugu Movie Review, Rating, Venkatesh | Story, Talk 3.2 out of 5 based on 74,22,228
Rambabu (Venkatesh), a Cable TV Operator, lives in Rajavaram village near Vizianagaram along with his Wife (Meena) and Two Daughters. All the four members of the family share a close bonding and they lead a happy life. An unprecedented happening pushes them into neck-deep trouble and how the family overcomes it forms the rest of the story.
Venkatesh: It's a tailor-made character for him. He gets into the skin of a role which is of a middle class common man. He truly deserves a pat on his back for playing the father to a teenage daughter believing in the character-driven script and doing complete justice to it.
Meena: She gives a matured performance. Using all her vast experience, She makes everyone believe none could have played it better than her.
Nadhiya: After 'Mirchi' and 'Atharintiki Daredi', She will be seen in yet another strong character in 'Drushyam'. Its always a delight to watch her on the screen.
The Girls who played the roles of Venky's Daughters, Naresh and other supporting cast have done a decent job.
High Emotional Quotient
First 15 Minutes
Venky-Meena's romantic scenes
'Drushyam', the Telugu remake of the Malayalam film 'Drishyam' starring Mohanlal, will offer thrilling experience to the audience because of its suspense element and high emotional quotient. Director Supriya handled these two crucial aspects of this script very well to keep the viewers on the edge of their seats till the climax. She received complete support from her star cast and the technical team to prove her mettle as a director.
As expected, The audience who have seen the original mayn't like the remake very much as they will be well aware of the suspense element in the climax in advance. Nevethless, the Telugu version will be appreciated by the moviegoers as 99.95% of Telugus aren't familiar with the Malayalam films. On the other hand, Venky playing the lead is an added advantage as he enjoys a huge following among women and this factor could bring family crowds to theatres in A, B and C centers.
Looks like, Makers have compromised on the production values a bit to keep the budget under control. 'Drushyam' which was made with a moderate budget of just Rs 8 crore excluding Venkatesh's remuneration is surely gonna earn good returns for everyone associated with the project.
