Budugu Movie Review
Bunny (Master Prem Babu), 10-Year-Old Son of Pooja (Lakshmi Manchu) and Rahul (Sreedhar Rao), has been asked to leave the Boarding School for weird behaviour. It was then Bunny was taken to a Psychiatrist (Indraja) and a unique therapy has been suggested upon going through the media reports. What's it all about? What's the actual problem of the kid? Will the therapy yield desired results?
Master Prem Babu who appears as a kid with psychological issues did a very good job. Lakshmi Manchu as a doting mother is flawless and her performance in some of the key scenes is laudable. Sreedhar Rao as the Father of the child is fine. Indraja plays her part so convincingly. Rest of the cast did justice to their roles.
- Lakshmi Manchu
- Interval Block
- Thrilling Moments in Second Half
- Poor Narration
- Illogical Scenes
Director Manmohan has chosen an interesting concept but falters in the execution. Taut Screenplay, Infusing Logic and Crisp Editing might have changed the fate of 'Budugu'.
Sai Karthik's songs and background score were an asset to the movie. Cinematography is top notch. Dialogues are just okay. Editing is poor. Production Values are decent enough.
'Budugu' is another case of good attempt gone wrong in execution. Of course, The film has its moments but they are very few in number to make it an enjoyable experience for the audience.
Box Office: Films like 'Budugu' have very limited appeal and the reach will drop further if the final outcome is below par. Don't expect this thriller to do even ordinary business at the ticket window.
Verdict: Budugu - A Failed Attempt!
